All Too Familiar: Why It’s Better To Pretend You Don’t Know Anything About Computers
Posted on December 21st, 2009 No comments
It happens to the best of us. Someone in your family or other close relation finds out you, “know computers”, and for the next few months or years you are stuck as their chief go to guy when anything that gets plugged into a wall isn’t acting right. Head over to TheOatmeal to read the rest of the comic, it’s quite humorous. -
Racisim in Tech
Posted on December 21st, 2009 No commentsAs you can see in the video above, HP’s new facial-tracking software doesn’t appear to work on people of color. Well, so far we’ve only seen it used by one black guy and a very unattractive white lady, but the proof is in the pudding. There are a few potential explanations for this; One – HP figured black people either can’t afford or have little to no interest in purchasing said product. Two – The designer is a black guy who figured it was far safer for him to steal shit knowing that the cameras won’t be tracking his face. Three – HP realizes that white people have been losing jobs left and right and are preparing for the Middle Class Caucasian Rebellion. Four – HP, like GW Bush, (according to Kanye West), “doesn’t care about black people”. <– Most likely.

Goodnight White Prince: Michael Jackson Dies at 50
Posted on June 25th, 2009 No comments
So it would seem that Michael Jackson is finally receiving praise for his music again. Unfortunately for him, it’s only happening due to his cardiac arrest and death. This reminds me of a joke I heard about Jerry Louis and him not receiving any American respect until the day he dies. Poor poor man-child. I’ll admit, I still enjoy his music, I wouldn’t want to go to a concert and see him in person… unless it was Halloween, and wanted a model for scariest costume. I’d win for sure!
It definately is a sad day. Michael was in the process of working on a new album with Kanye West and Akon, guess we’ll just get a few unfinished tracks. Michael, I’m sorry that you had to share your exit with Farrah Fawcett, but at least you outshined her with more cable news coverage.
